On the 15th of March a group of students from the school the school, competed in a Thames Valley Triathlon at Cooks Beach. We had a total of six teams and two individuals. We all didextremely well and the result was amazing. People in our class who took part were: Courtney, Jade, Luca, Quinn, Jypsie, Tiana, Aimee and Keleigh.
For the last four weeks Quinn, Luca, Clayton and Caian and some other students from Room 10 represented our school at Sports Waikato Cricket. They made it to the final against Tairua and won 82-57. We are extremely proud of the boys. We would like to say a big thank you to Justine and the parents who came and supported the teams and thank you to Tairua for coming and travelling over the hill every Thursday for it. Thank you everyone that came and played cricket because we couldn't have done it without you.
On Wednesday the 16th March Tiana Moa participated in Heritage Art at the Thames School of Mines. She made paint out of crushed rocks then created a painting, of the Rail Trail, which is displyed in the School of Mines.
9 children from Room 11 will be taking part in Waka Ama, learning about the waka, and skills and drills to paddle one. Matty Frank, our matua, will be taking us for the next six weeks. In the last week we will be paddling the waka out from Te Puru, in an inter-schools' race.
On Tuesday the 8th of March 9 students from BOSS room 11, competed in Thames Valley swimming Sports. All students did very well. Some students came out with great results.
